Retention

The ability of a product or service to keep its users or customers over a period of time. It is a key metric that indicates how well a product satisfies its users and encourages them to continue using it. High retention rates often signify that users find value in the product and are less likely to churn (stop using the product).

Understanding and improving retention is crucial for the long-term success of a product, as it typically costs less to retain existing users than to acquire new ones.
